Not really rules, just advice and a staking plan that is important to follow
Although this websites aim is to try and help you to make money from horse racing you should never gamble with money you cannot afford to lose. Please remember that no one can guarantee a profit from gambling on horses.
Welcome to www.betting4profit.net the home of profitable racing
If you are hoping to make a large fast profit from racing - forget it, you have no chance. If however you want a regular supplemental income, then you are in the right place. Making profit from racing is a marathon, not a sprint. A small regular profit is a nice handsome sum at the end of a twelve month period, and this is the approach that we ourselves adopt when betting on horses.
Please read and understand the following advice and staking plan
Our staking plan is simple, a minimum 50 point bank is required (100 point is preferred), members have asked me what i would consider a good starting 'bank' and although this depends on your own financial circumstances (Remember NEVER use money you can not afford to lose) I would say that a figure between £500 and £2000 is a good place to start. Ideally you need to open a new bank account that comes with a debit card. Deposit your 'bank' in to this account. This makes it much easier to see exactly how your bets are performing. Please resist any temptation to bleed this money away on any other bets - this is your 'Betting4profit Bank'. Next, to maximise your potential profits I would strongly advise that you open an account with ALL of the online bookmakers and of course Betfair. Make the most of any new customer free bets that they are offering, register your 'Betting4profit Bank' account with these bookmakers, but do not deposit any funds until you want to actually strike a bet with them. The only place that your can leave some funds on deposit is with Betfair. The reason behind this is simple, the online bookmakers will periodically send you free bet tokens, but usually only if you have not got any money in their account.
On checking the members area of the site, you need to visit www.oddschecker.com and find out who is offering the best possible price for the horse in question. I would usually advise taking early prices where possible as a considerable amount of our selections shorten dramatically in price before the off. All races will be 1 point bets, usually 1/2 point each way per selection. Remember that you must stick to the staking plan, do not reduce your stakes in a losing run and do not be tempted to double up when we are in a winning run.
Example: £500 bank = 50 points @ £10 per point, so bets would be £5 each way or if using the betting exchanges £5 to win and £5 to place.
